 What to Do in Blouberg?

Blouberg has an expansive view of the historic Robben Island - which is now a world heritage site and museum. Blouberg beach is world renowned for its kite surfing. Many sports people stay in the area as it offers great opportunity for running and cycling.

Both Planet Fitness and Virgin have health clubs in the area and Virgin will soon open a 2nd club. For the elderly, exercise is as important, well catered for by the lovely service road on the beach. There is also a Multi-sports Maniac Club at the Big Bay Lifesaving Club and a big soccer Club behind Table View Mall.

You don’t have to leave the Blouberg area over weekends for entertainment, within a 5km range you can shop, dine and just enjoy the beach.

The Blouberg area also offers a wide range of restaurants such as Onse Huisie, On The Rocks, Karoo Cattle and Land and Moyo.

The well-known “brands” such as Cape Town Fish Market, Cattle Baron, Spur, Primi Piatti and the Ocean Basket are also well represented and there are a stack of little niche pubs and eateries for those looking for something ‘local’.

Schooling in the Western Seaboard

The Blouberg and Western Seaboard area offers good schooling - many younger people opt for the newer generation Private Schools which are not quite as expensive as the established private schools in some of the other areas of Cape Town.
