Top Meyersdal Agent Joins Chas Everitt

Top-selling Meyersdal estate agent Debbie Young has decided to make the Chas Everitt International Property Group her new “home” in the real estate industry and says she has no doubt that all her loyal clients will benefit from the move as much as she will.

“Debbie has been in the industry for the past 12 years, and in that time has made an incredible name for herself, not only for great sales performance but also as one of the most highly respected and ethical property professionals in the upmarket Meyersdal area in which she specialises,” says Jacques Bronkhorst, owner of the Chas Everitt International franchise in Glenvista, where Debbie will now be based.

“We are very proud that she has now chosen to become part of the greater Chas Everitt family, and the team of top real estate sales people that we continue to build up in this franchise. When outstanding professionals like her join our company it is proof for us that we are doing things right!”

Having joined another national real estate group in 2002, Debbie was named as its Gauteng Rookie of the Year just a few months later, and has never really looked back in terms of her property sales performance. She was Agent of the Year in her own branch for nine consecutive years and also achieved national Gold Club status eight times between 2004 and 2012, and national Gold Club Elite status five times.

She has also notched up numerous real estate qualifications, including a Certificate in Estate Agency from the Estate Agency Affairs Board, a qualification as a Sectional Title Realtor from UCT and the new National Certificate in Real Estate (NQF level 4).

Consequently, she says, her decision to move to Chas Everitt International was not an easy one. “But while property is my game, people are my passion, and I know that with the backing of the hands-on Chas Everitt management team and support from their well-trained admin staff, I can do even better for the people who are my first priority – all my wonderful loyal clients in Meyersdal.”

“On a personal level I am also looking forward to interacting with the other top agents in Jacques’ team, and having access to Chas Everitt’s superior technology and training, as I want to continue to achieve at the highest levels.”

Debbie says that when she first entered the industry, she felt driven to overcome the negative impression that many people have of estate agents, and that the most satisfying part of her work since has been to deliver service well beyond client expectations. “Every transaction is unique as is each person taking part in that transaction and for me there is nothing more rewarding than when I can see that everyone involved is pleased with the outcome.”

“With her experience and expertise, Debbie is also genuinely able to obtain higher prices for Meyersdal sellers than most other agents in her area,” says Jacques, “and that is of course another strong reason for her large client following.”

And she says her performance is further helped by the fact that she lives in Meyersdal herself and knows many of the residents. “Situated about 12km southeast of Johannesburg, the trendy suburb is attractive to a range of buyers as it offers a wide variety of homes from huge mansions in the much-talked-about Eco Estate, to large family houses, clusters, townhouses and small apartments. “But once people come to live here, they tend not to want to move away, as they can fortunately upgrade and downsize as needed all in the same area.”
