International Trainer to Give Chas Everitt Agents the Edge

Although the pace of sales in the real estate market has slowed down in the past few years, the pace of change has continued to accelerate, and estate agents have to keep learning and innovating if they want to be successful.

“We are constantly being challenged by new technologies, new legislation and new consumer needs,” says Berry Everitt, MD of the Chas Everitt International property group, “and in response, our group continues to invest in the growth and development of our people.

“We believe that our clients deserve the highest standards of professional service and we know that this can only be delivered if each of our agents is equipped with the latest knowledge, understanding and skills by the best teachers and trainers.”

And this is why, he says, Chas Everitt International is bringing internationally renowned real estate trainer Ed Hatch to SA later this year to present a new, specifically tailored course exclusively to its agents.

Hatch is the president of Ed Hatch Seminars and has gained global recognition as a top real estate trainer, having spoken to more than 100 real estate audiences every year since 1990. In the US, he has been a featured speaker at the past 17 consecutive National Association of Realtors (NAR) conventions and 10 Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Sell-a-brations, and he has also shared his knowledge and expertise with agents in Brazil, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden and the UK as well as SA.

Chas Everitt group training head Rod Williams says: “On his next visit to SA, Ed’s new two-day course, ‘The Cutting Edge of Success’, will be presented exclusively to Chas Everitt agents in both Johannesburg and Cape Town and will introduce them to the latest strategies, techniques and technologies from the US, the most sophisticated real estate market in the world.

“Designed to motivate and upskill agents as the global economy recovers, the course will focus on providing an understanding of the new marketplace and new consumer needs and buying patterns, as well as ways to meet these needs in a professional and consultative way – and it will be integrated into our industry-leading awards and recognition programme.”

During the same visit, he says, Hatch will also present two highly-focused half-day workshops exclusively for Chas Everitt franchisees and their managers, in line with the group’s commitment to also provide continuous development opportunities to the management teams who support its agents.

“Real estate is of course a very personal and relationship-driven business and real estate consumers will no doubt continue to rely heavily on agents’ knowledge, skill and integrity to help them make the correct decisions. However, only those agents who can provide genuinely expert help are likely to succeed in future, and we believe that in order to do that they will need to be part of a group such as Chas Everitt that believes in the continuous provision of high-calibre training.”
