Chas Everitt Luxury Team Sells up a Storm in Joburg

Although not as high-profile as the suburbs along Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, the plush northern suburbs of Johannesburg continue to attract their fair share of luxury home buyers, with the result that the Chas Everitt Luxury Portfolio® team for this region has sold almost R100-million worth of grand homes in areas such as Sandhurst, Hyde Park, and Houghton since the start of the year.

These properties include Cullinan House, the historic Art Nouveau mansion in Houghton that the team listed for sale in November. It's asking price was R9,998m and it was sold, to a South African professional, for an amount very close to that, according to Rory O’Hagan, CEO of the new Chas Everitt International Luxury Portfolio division.

Other Johannesburg properties most recently sold by the Luxury Portfolio team in Hyde Park include a Saxonwold home sold for R10,8m, a cluster home on the Sandhurst/ Hurlingham border that sold for R8,499-million, a cluster home in Hyde Park sold for R7,9-million, a Houghton Golf Estate home sold for R7,35m and two luxury apartments in Hyde Park that sold for R6,9-million each.
