Sunninghill is a residential suburb of Sandton in Johannesburg , Gauteng. The N1 freeway, which at this area is eight lanes across, forms its southern boundary with access from the Rivonia off ramp. A new road, the K60, has been built through the centre of Sunninghill to assist in easing traffic. Sunninghill is bordered by the suburbs of Paulshof, Kyalami, Lone Hill, Bryanston and Woodmead.

There has recently been a lot of growth in Sunninghill, with most previously open land spaces now occupied with residential complexes or business. Sunninghill comprises numerous Townhouses (Sectional Title), Clusters (Full Title) and freestanding houses in Sunninghill Gardens and Sunninghill Estates. Sunninghill Gardens is a boomed off area comprising Clusters, Townhouses and Freestanding homes.

Easy access to Sandton and Randburg CBD. Sunninghill Hospital is one of the better established hospitals in Johannesburg, under the Netcare range. Additionally there are many large corporations that are based in Sunninghill, some of which include Acer, Eskom, CA Inc , AstraZeneca , RCI and Unisys.

Primary shopping centres in Sunninghill include Chilli Lane - comprising better known retailers such as Woolworths and Pick 'n Pay as well as a Virgin Active gym. The Core, comprising offices and restaurant retailers and Sunninghill Shopping Centre - comprising speciality Restaurants and some of the better known retailers, like Spar and Woolworths.
