Strathavon is often referred to as the best centrally-located suburb in Sandton.  A mere 5-minute drive from the Sandton CBD - Africa's richest square mile & similarly to the Grayston Drive ramps onto the M1 Highway are 2 of its many advantages.

The M1Motorway allows easy access to the alternate Business hubs of Rosebank, Parktown & Jhb CBD.  Northbound, Midrand & Centurion are a straightforward commute. This proximity makes Stathavon an attractive choice for Professionals in the Corporate Sector.

Public transport is excellent with proximity to Sandton Gautrain Station being a big plus. Strathavon is on the BRT Bus Route and is serviced by Mini Bus Taxis.

Strathavon is also popular with families due to the excellent choice of schools. Redhill, Crawford College, Princeton Centre of Learning, Grayston Prep & Sandown High are very close by.  St Davids Inanda & St Stithians College, both renowned Private Schools, are a short travelling distance.   Ideally situated are the Tertiary Education Centres of Varsity College, Graduate School of Business & Gordon Institute of Business Science.  The convenient M1 Motorway affords one an easy route to Wits University Campus.

Retail facilities are outstanding.  The Mega Mall, Sandton City, houses large Brand Name Stores as well as trendy, exclusive Boutiques.  Cinemas and numerous restaurants are also located here.  High-End Designer Stores are found in the adjacent Nelson Mandela Square. More relaxed shopping alternatives are found in the Centres at Benmore, Morningside, Grayston & Village Walk.

Options for dining out are plentiful. Whether it is Fine dining or Casual, Coffee or Cocktail Bars, an overwhelming selection are all within a short distance.

Close by are gyms, the Shul & other places of worship.

Morningside Medi Clinic & numerous Medical Professionals & facilities along Rivonia Rd ensure that Residents medical requirements are catered for.

Property on offer in Strathavon is varied.  Freestanding homes are few. They are on large erfs, approx 1500sqm and are priced between R 2.6 million & R 5 million.  Cluster Homes are the most sought after properties.  They are set in secure complexes in quiet streets which are often boomed off.  They are pristine with impeccable contemporary finishes.  The gardens are manageable & manicured and have plunge pools.  House prices in Strathavon vary in price from R 4 million upward R 8million depending on size and quality of finishes.
