St Michaels on Sea is a small coastal village bordering Shelly Beach and Uvongo on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

Situated on the Hibiscus Coast within an easy 10 km commute to bustling Margate, St Michaels is an extremely popular holiday destination as well as a hotspot for retirees.

During the holiday seasons, the popular beach at St Michaels is packed with surfers and swimmers. It has become a surfer's paradise because it offers one of the best surfing breaks in the country.
